2. How do I book an appointment?

You can easily book an appointment online or call our salon at 08 61622074. Alternatively, you can also email us at bookings@taoofhair.com.au.

3. What are your salon hours?

Our salon hours are Tuesdays to Fridays, 10 am to 7 pm; Saturdays, 8:30 am to 5 pm; Sundays and Mondays are closed.

4. Do you offer consultations?

Yes, we provide complimentary consultations to discuss your hair goals and recommend the best services. You can easily book a consultation online.

5. How much does a haircut or styling session cost?

Our pricing depends on the specific service you choose. You can find detailed pricing information on our Services page. Alternatively, you can also fill out our Consultation Survey to request an estimated price of what you are after.

6. Can I bring a picture for reference?

Absolutely! We encourage clients to bring pictures for inspiration. It helps our stylists understand your vision and achieve the look you desire.

7. What products do you use? Are they sustainable?

Yes, at Tao of Hair, we prioritize using high-quality and cruelty-free products such as Keune Haaircosmetics.

8. How long does a typical appointment last?

The duration of your appointment depends on the service you're receiving. Haircuts usually take around 45-60 minutes, while colour treatments may take longer. Your stylist can provide a more accurate estimate.

9. What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change. Please refer to our cancellation policy on the Terms & Conditions page for information on cancellations and rescheduling.

10. Can I buy gift certificates?

Yes, we offer gift certificates for various services. They make great gifts for birthdays, holidays, or special occasions. You can purchase them in-store or via our website.

11. Do you specialize in certain hair types or styles?

Our skilled stylists are experienced in working with diverse hair types and styles. We are committed to creating personalized looks that suit each client's unique character.

12. Can I walk in for a same-day appointment?

While we recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time, we do welcome walk-ins based on stylist availability. Feel free to call ahead to check for immediate openings.

13. What should I do to prepare for my appointment?

For any colour services, we recommend not washing your hair at least 2 days before your appointment. The natural oil from your scalp may act as a barrier to reduce irritation on the scalp when colouring hair.

14. How often should I get a haircut?

The frequency of haircuts depends on your hair type and desired style. Generally, a trim every 4-8 weeks helps maintain healthy hair and style integrity.

15. What do I do if I'm not satisfied with my service?

Client satisfaction is our priority. If you're unhappy with your result, please get in touch with us within a week (7 days), and we'll gladly address any concerns and work out the most suitable solution for you.

16. Do you provide hair care tips and product recommendations?

Absolutely! Our stylists are happy to offer personalized hair care tips and recommend products to help you maintain your style at home. Just ask during your appointment.

17. Are children welcome at the salon?

Yes, we welcome clients of all ages. We have stylists experienced in working with children, and we aim to make the salon experience enjoyable for everyone.

18. Do you offer hair extensions, and what types are available?

Extensions are only available upon request.

19. Can I change my hair colour dramatically in one session?

Major colour changes may require multiple sessions to achieve the desired result while maintaining the health of your hair. Consult with our colour specialists for a personalized plan.

20. Are you a Sustainable Salon?

Yes, as of September 2018 Tao of Hair has officially become a Sustainable Salon. We charge a Green Fee of $3 per Client visit, which will help 95% of salon waste to be recycled and repurposed. All aluminium, foils, colour tubes, cardboard, pepper, magazines, razor blades, unwanted tools and even hair clippings are sold for recycling, and the proceeds are donated to OzHarvest and KiwiHarvest to provide meals for hungry people.
